					<description>I know that the Ig Nobels are lighthearted fun, and not to be taken too seriously, but I am always reminded of the typical anti-intellectual news coverage that obscure scientific research receives.  It is soooo easy to take cheap shots at science in the popular press, without knowing doodlysquat about the subject in question.</description>
